CBSE CTET September 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must qualify under specific educational requirements for either the Primary Level (Class I to V) or Junior Level (Class VI to VIII).

• Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE Regulations.
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education).
• Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by NCTE is eligible, or pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE/RCI specified in NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
• Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
