- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE Regulations.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

- Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by NCTE is eligible, or pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE/RCI specified in NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
- Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
